12 frequencies are available from 2.5 to 18 kHz.Ħ BOOST Sets the high frequency boost level from 0 to maximum.ħ ATTEN Sets the low frequency attenuation level from 0 to maximum.Ĩ CPS Sets the low cut/boost frequency in cycles per second (Hz). At 0 the bandwith is narrow, peaking high and at 10, the bandwith is wideĤ EQ ON LED indicating the on/off state of the EQ.ĥ KCS Sets the high boost frequency in kilo-cycles (kHz). The 3 in-between positions are bypass for the whole EQ.Ģ ATTEN Sets the attenuation level from 0 to maximum.ģ B.WIDTH Sets the bandwidth of the high boost section.

High frequency cut: 10, 15 and 20 kilocycles per second,Īvailable assembled or as a full kit (everything included).ġ KCS Sets the high cut frequency in kilo-cycles (kHz).

Low frequency cut and boost: 15, 20, 30, 45, 60 and 100 cycles per second, Separate low end cut and boost allows achieving the "Low End Trick",Ĭoil based high end boost giving that famous airy, transparent high end,

Just install it in your API* compatible LunchboxTM rack and start recording. The EQP501 retains all the controls from the original but adds some new frequencies to the low and high sections. It is made of an all passive section followed by a gain make up stage based on a Discrete Op-Amp (DOA). The EQP501 is a passive equalizer based on the classic PULTEC EQP 1A, adapted to the '500' format of API*. This will eliminate 48 volts from damaging the 560A series equalizers.EQP501 Passive Equalizer for the '500' Lunchbox - Kit NOTE: The older 560A equalizer may use pin 15 for a "direct output" and must be disabled on the 560A circuit board edge connector by cutting a trace.

Other uses for the versatile lunchbox include: Combinations of these modules make perfect stereo recording packages (two 512cs and two 550bs) or vocalist's box (one 512c, two EQs and one 527). The lunchbox comes standard with a +48 volt internal phantom power supply, bussed to pin 15 for interface with the API 512c Mic Preamplifier.ĪPI makes several modules for the 500-6B, including the 512c Mic Preamplifier, the 525 Compressor, the 527 Compressor, the 550A 3-band EQ, the 550b 4-band EQ and the 560 Graphic EQ. The lunchbox has an internal power supply with a rear panel selected AC voltage switch and a removable power cord. This quality allows an engineer the flexibility to bring along specialized EQ effects to any situation: 550A, 550b or 560. The API 500-6B lunchbox is a 6-slot rack designed to accept all API standard 5.25" X 1.5" modules.
